This book is my favorite ME reference book. Itincludes advanced topics like dynamic response, external pressure vessels, andbolted joint design that are difficult to find covered (other than at the mostelementary, approximate level) anywhere else. Chapters on more traditionalsubjects present material at a deeper level than other sources. In-depthdiscussion of each topic describes the strong points and limitations of theanalysis, and simple design formulae are given for those who don’t like complexmathematical derivations. This book should appeal to both people that want anin-depth understanding of advanced stress analysis and those who want to lookup an easily-understood formula.
