即：Aspen PropertiesDatabase Configuration Tester测试出现错误，creating config.aem failed，无法创建config.aem 解决办法
如图所示，在打开DatabaseConfiguration Tester进行测试出现上图错误: Creating config.aem failed。Configuration filecan not be found in C:\ProgramData\AspenTech\APED V8.4\config.aem。要知道，aspen出现的许多错误都是有关SQL sever数据库的，有时明明已经安装好了sql sever还会出现各种错误！有很多童鞋会选择重装一遍sql，aspen，甚至是系统！太麻烦了！问题的关键在于：SQL sever数据库服务是否开启！如下图所示，只要在服务里面将SQL sever相关项由禁用改为自动就可以解决问题！也就是说，就算安装了SQL sever而把服务禁用，同样会出错！不管你用的哪个账户，就算administrater超级管理员也不行！因此，只要打开了SQL服务，其他很多问题都会迎刃而解，本人在最新的windows 10 X64系统上安装的aspen v8.4，同样没有出现兼容性问题。

我找到的一个好方法大家可以试试 我已经测试两次了 这个是在数据库下有一个readme文件具体方法如下大家可以试试
1、以管理员权限进入命令提示行 CMD.exe
2、进入目录C:\ProgramData\AspenTech\APED V8.6
3、运行批处理文件DeleteDBInstance.bat
4、运行 "Aspen Properties Database Configuration Tester" 从 "所有程序| AspenTech
| Process Modeling V8.6 | Aspen Properties".
5、静候佳音。
附上原文:
First part: Aspen Properties Database Configuration
===================================================
This file contains steps to fix the process for restoring Aspen system databases with LocalDB.
It applies to Vista and Windows 7 and 8 only.
1) Open a Command Prompt Window (run administrator).
2) Go to the shared folder: C:\ProgramData\AspenTech\APED V8.6.
3) Run DeleteDBInstance.bat. This batch file will drop any database from restoring that is
incomplete. It also deletes the instance of LocalDB you own and the folder named by your
Window logon.
4) Start "Aspen Properties Database Configuration Tester" from "All Programs | AspenTech
| Process Modeling V8.6 | Aspen Properties". This will start the process for restoring
Aspen system databases again. If the process is successful and complete, config.aem will
be created. This is a one-time process only on the same machine.
5) Now you can start a product (A+, Hysys, etc.). The main window should come up without seeing
"Aspen Properties Database Configuration" again.
If you still fail to restore databases with LocalDB, you can go through the above steps again
with running DBCreate.bat in 3) instead of running DeleteDBInstance.bat.
Second part: mmc.exe.config for Aspen Properties Database Manager

mmc.exe.config only applies to releases starting with V7.3.2. It is delivered to
"C:\Windows\System32" on 32-bit and "C:\Windows\SysWOW64" on 64-bit.
If V7.3 or earlier releases are also installed, launching some controls or forms
from Aspen Properties Database Manager V7.3 (or earlier releases) may result in
an exception error due to the existence of mmc.exe.config. The workaround is to
delete mmc.exe.config first before start Aspen Properties Database Manager.
Start with V8.0, mmc.exe.config will also be delivered to "C:\ProgramData\AspenTech\APED V8.0".
The user can again copy it to "C:\Windows\System32" on 32-bit and "C:\Windows\SysWOW64" on 64-bit
for Aspen Properties Database Manager V8.0 (or newer releases). 我也是win10x64安装仍然不行，求指导？我的2012SP1 QSL，怕是系统问题，装了好几次。给我一个简单教程呗，主要是QSL那个模式怎么选，和后面装好后test...提前谢谢大神 好资料好东西

另一个导致此问题的原因就是：SQL数据库安装时没有选择"混合验证模式“，选了仅通过”windows“验证.
这个在aspen V7.2安装时有提示：
安装SQL是选混合验证模式即可:

目录不对吗？这个lic不行的话就再生成一个 可是，我把所有SQL服务都改为自动了，可是还是一样的问题，打开ASPEN8.4的时候还是出现这些东西

config.aem无法创建也可能是用户权限问题，以管理员身份运行试试，或者对那个目录文件夹取得管理员权限 Failed to initialize the Aspen Properties Enterprise Database.
Configuration file can not be found in C:\ProgramData\AspenTech\APED V8.4\config.aem
Please use the Aspen Properties Database Configuration Tester to diagnose and fix the problem.
同样的问题，解决不了，求大神帮忙！！！ 我 window10 安装 v8。8 的，按照您说的方法，运行出现这个错误，怎么处理？

老兄，我和你的一个样子，server下面都没有选项，还有就是config.aem这个文件压根没有；这个文件dbTesterAdv.exe和别人说的也不一样。不知道你已经解决了没有，给我讲讲 2010litong 发表于 2015-12-20 16:37
