New in Version 4
Petro-SIM Version 4 represents a significant step-forward in functionality and usability for refinery simulation. Compared with previous versions it delivers significant improvements in synthesis technology and represents the first release that fully incorporates all of the standalone SIM model functionality inside the program.
Highlights of the release are:
All SIM reactor capabilities now inside Petro-SIM
Significantly enhanced calibration environment, supporting all refinery reactors, component splitters and Distop columns
Major enhancement to assay synthesis technology, expanding flexibility and accuracy, allowing higher fidelity modeling
Data Integration and Meter capabilities enhanced with internal support for historian connections to OPC Historians and PI
Rewritten Refinery Blender unit operation, exploiting more robust optimization techniques and providing more flexibility
Improved look and feel, making it easier to work with large cases having many subflowsheets
New Excel application techniques that bring SIM Reactor-style multi case handling to Petro-SIM flowsheets and bring autogeneration of large scale reporting workbooks
Improved technology in the SIM Reactors

All the SIM standalone functionality is now inside Petro-SIM and further development of the SIM reactors will be in this platform. We provide a number of migration methods to help you move existing data and cases to V4.
