School of Chemical and Environmental Engineering at Soochow University
The School was established in 2013 and is undergoing a rapid expansion with the strong funding support of local and provincial authorities. Currently we have 15 faculty members in a brand new building finished this year in the Dushu campus in Suzhou. As a new School, we aim to differentiate ourselves from other programs in China by offering a multidisciplinary approach to deal with current and future chemical and environmental challenges. Our goal is also to train students to be competitive internationally. Suzhou is consistently voted one of the best 10 cities to live in china for foreigners.
Postdoc – Research fellow / Assistant Professor / Associate Professor Position
We are currently seeking a candidate fluent in English and Chinese, oral and written, to support faculty staff in the development of research projects, supervision of students, and administration tasks. The level of the position will be according to the experience of the candidate; candidates selected for a professorship position will also be required to teach.
Suitable candidates would have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Chemical, Biochemical or Environmental Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or other relevant discipline. Candidates with expertise on the research topics of soft matter, food engineering or colloids would be preferred, particularly with experience on laser-based microscopy (CSLM, 2PM, FLIM, CARS, etc).
Qualified candidates will be offered a 2-3 year contract with the possibility of extension, and a competitive salary according to Soochow University policies.
