COMSOL, the leading provider of multiphysics modeling and simulation software, has released version 5.1.0.234 (Update3) of COMSOL Multiphysics software, is a general-purpose software platform, based on advanced numerical methods, for modeling and simulating physics-based problems. This update corrects a few bugs and stability issues in Version 5.1 of COMSOL Multiphysics, COMSOL Server, and COMSOL Client. It also makes it possible to run COMSOL 5.1 on Windows 10.

With COMSOL Multiphysics, you will be able to account for coupled or multiphysics phenomena. With more than 30 add-on products to choose from, you can further expand the simulation platform with dedicated physics interfaces and tools for electrical, mechanical, fluid flow, and chemical applications. Additional interfacing products connect your COMSOL Multiphysics simulations with technical computing, CAD, and ECAD software.

What's new in version 5.1.0.234 (Update3)

RF Module
- Removed redundant postprocessing variables that appeared when a port-related simulation generated S-parameters.
Wave Optics Module
- Solver suggestions for the Microwave Plasma interface have been corrected.
- An initial value can now be set for the Lagrange multiplier that enforces a fixed deposited power.
