中国是聚烯烃生产和消费大国，2017年中国聚烯烃总产量约3600万吨，表观消费量约5000万吨，自给率达到72%。未来几年，随着大型炼化一体化、煤/甲醇制烯烃（CTO/MTO）、丙烷脱氢（PDH）和乙烷裂解等项目建设，中国聚烯烃产业仍将快速发展，并形成多种原料路线共同竞争的格局。

同时，中国高端聚烯烃产品自给率偏低，严重依赖进口。《石油和化学工业“十三五”发展指南》预计，到2020年中国高端聚烯烃需求量将达到1115万吨，产量774万吨，自给率接近70%，市场增长空间巨大。《新材料关键技术产业化实施方案》提出了重点发展高碳α烯烃、茂金属聚乙烯(mPE)、乙烯和α烯烃共聚（POE）弹性体、乙烯-乙烯醇共聚物（EVOH树脂）等高端聚烯烃材料。

随着中国经济发展与消费转型升级，高端聚烯烃在包装、汽车、建筑、电子消费品等领域的市场发展空间巨大，也将推动高端聚烯烃技术、工艺、催化剂以及产品应用的升级。

Background

China is a big country of polyolefin production and consumption, the total production and apparent consumption of polyolefin in China in 2017 was about 36Mt and 50Mt, with the self-sufficiency rate of 72 %. In the next few years, with construction of projects including large-scale refining & chemical integration (RCI), coal/methanol to olefins (CTO/MTO), propane dehydrogenation (PDH), ethane cracking, etc., China’s polyolefin industry will keep rapid development and form a competition pattern of feedstock diversification.

However, the high-end polyolefin products in China are massive dependence on imports. <Petroleum & Chemical Industry “13th FYP” Development Guide> predicted that, by 2020, high-end polyolefin demand in China would be 11.15Mt, with production and self-sufficiency rate of 7.74Mt and 70%, respectively, showing huge market growth space. <Implementation Scheme for Industrialization of New Material Key Technologies> proposed that the development of high-end polyolefin materials such as high carbon α-olefins, metallocene polyethylene (mPE), polyolefin elastomers (POE) of ethylene and α-olefin α-olefin, and ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer (EVOH resin), etc., should be given priority.

With China’s economic development and consumption transformation & upgrading, high-end polyolefin will not only have huge market developing space in packing, automobile, construction, and consumer electronics and so on, but also promote the upgrading of technologies, processes, catalysts, as well as product applications.
