Recruitment of ResearchScientists Position overview Professor Choy is conducting innovative andcutting-edge research on sustainablematerials and process development to address global challenges in energy,environment, health & wellbeing areas for a better world. You are invitedto apply for one of the Research Scientist posts at Duke Kunshan University tobe part of the growing team and to participate in setting up innovative andcutting-edge world leading sustainable materials research environment andknowledge transfer platform. The postholder will undertake fundamental, appliedand translational research in areas of sustainable materials and processdevelopment that will lead to reduced energy consumption/carbonfootprint/waste/ environmental impact and improved productrecyclability/reuse/recovery/ repair. This includes: • Development of novel, eco-friendly and cost-effectivematerials synthesis, materials processing and manufacturing. • Design & develop new “clean and sustainablematerials”, devices/system for clean energy production/ storage, and biosensors/biocompatibleimplants applications. • Development of smart & durable materials, devices orsystem (with integrated structural health monitoring), and self-sensing forengineering applications. • Modelling, designing and development of sustainable, durable,and smart multifunctional materials, devices or systems for a range ofapplications, including but not limiting to clean energy production, energystorage, biosensors, bioimplants, and structural monitoring in engineeringindustries.

Required Qualifications
· Research experience in materialsdesign, synthesis, characterization, device fabrication and testing. · Good communicationskills in English (Excellent English skills will be preferred but not necessarilyrequired) · Good sense ofresponsibility
Education · A full-time Master orPhD degree (depending on the post) is required in Materials Science/Engineering, MaterialsChemistry, Physics, Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, Nanoscience& Technology or related subjects.
Years of Related Working Experience
One or two years of working experience inrelevant areas will be preferred.
