鸥鸟与青年

从前，有位青年住在海边，非常喜欢鸥鸟，鸥鸟也乐于亲近他。每天晨曦初露，当他摇船出海的时候，总有一大群鸥鸟尾随在他的渔船四周，或在空中盘旋，或径直落在他的肩上、脚下、船舱里，自由自在地与青年一道嬉戏玩耍，久久不愿离去，相处十分和谐。

Once upon a time, there was a young man who lived by the seaside and loved seagulls very much. Seagulls were also happy to get close to him. Every morning at dawn, when he paddled his boat out to sea, there was always a large group of gulls following around his fishing boat, either hovering in the air or landing directly on his shoulders, feet, and cabin. They freely frolicked and played with the youth, unwilling to leave for a long time, and got along very harmoniously.

后来，青年的父亲听说了这件事，就对他说：“人家都说海上的鸥鸟喜欢跟你一道玩耍，毫无戒备，你何不乘机抓几只回来，也给我玩玩？”他于是满口答应道：“这有何难？”

Later, when the young man's father heard about this, he said to him, "They say that the seagulls on the sea like to play with you without any warning. Why don't you take the opportunity to catch a few and also play with me?" He then fully agreed, "What's the difficulty of this?"　　

第二天，青年早早地出了家门，他将小船摇出海面，焦急地等待着鸥鸟们的到来。可是，那些聪明的鸥鸟早已经看出了他今日的神情不对，因此总只是在空中盘旋，而不肯落到他的船上。当青年准备伸手抓它们的.时候，鸥鸟们就“呼”的一声全飞走了，青年只好干瞪眼。

The next day, the young man left his house early and shook the small boat out of the sea, anxiously waiting for the arrival of the gulls. However, those clever gulls had already noticed that his expression was not right today, so they always hovered in the air and refused to land on his ship. When the young man was about to reach out and catch them, the gulls flew away with a loud cry, and the young man had no choice but to stare.

这个故事告诉人们：彼此交往要想达到和谐友好的境界，必须以互相真诚为前提。如果你自以为聪明，想心事去算计朋友，那么朋友必然会弃你而去。

This story tells people that in order to achieve a harmonious and friendly state of communication, mutual sincerity must be the prerequisite. If you think you are smart and try to trick your friends, they will definitely abandon you.
